Hi, I’m Dr. Maneesh Paul – a Microbiologist by Passion, Profession, and Purpose.
From the early days in my academic journey, the unseen world of microbes has fascinated me. It was a classroom lesson on Louis Pasteur that first sparked my curiosity, leading me down a path filled with scientific discovery and relentless pursuit of knowledge. My academic and professional journey took me around the globe, from prestigious institutions like Johns Hopkins Medical School to groundbreaking research at Orchid Pharma, where I was the program director and co-invented the antimicrobial compound Enmetazobactam, the first antimicrobial compound to be discovered in India.
But the journey didn’t stop at research. The more I discovered, the more I realized the pressing need to address global health issues, particularly antimicrobial resistance (AMR). That’s why I launched this platform dedicated to advocating for the preservation of our delicate microbiomes and the antibiotics that protect us.
This platform is more than just a website; it’s a movement aimed at unlocking the potential of our natural microbiomes for healthier living, while ensuring our future generations inherit a world where antibiotics still work. Our focus is on innovation coupled with community stewardship—because I believe that the most impactful changes come from collective action.
